​We’re looking for a Business Development Manager (Midlands area) to join our Frameworks Team and create a real impact by focussing on building strong client and partner relationships to drive the continued growth and success of the SCAPE Group and its subsidiaries. The Business Development Manager will support the Frameworks Heads of Service team and the Leadership team to deliver the growth targets set in the Frameworks Business Plans and the 369 strategy.

Your new role

An integral part of The SCAPE Group, our frameworks team work collaboratively to promote, facilitate and manage our framework service for our clients and delivery partners. We provide value for money and sustainable procurement solutions so that the public, future generations, and our shareholders can provide benefits for local communities, creating a world everyone deserves.

  • ​Consistently build the presence, perception and commercial success of the Frameworks Business, SCAPE Group and its subsidiaries.
  • ​Support the development of SCAPE’s growth strategy and implement Business Development activities to deliver this.
  • ​​Ensure strong client relationships are established, developed and maintained that enhance SCAPE’s reputation and maximise our potential
  • ​Work proactively to research and gather intelligence that help the business understand client’s requirements. Use this intel to identify new opportunities, and develop a credible pipeline
  • ​Adopt a Client Account Management role for key clients in your region and proactively plan and co-ordinate client facing activities to guarantee repeat business and income generation.
  • ​Report on new, emerging business opportunities, pipeline, market intelligence, client challenges and regional relationships to inform the prioritisation of business development activities.
  • ​Maintain and promote a strong level of knowledge in public sector services, policies, procurement and funding arrangements and identify opportunities where SCAPE can develop our offer

What you’ll bring

  • Experience of working as part of a field-based team for a national organisation to achieve targets and growth
  • ​Experience of using information management tools in relation to business development including CRM and PowerBI
  • ​Proven excellence in client service delivery which secures business success and achieves high levels of customer satisfaction
  • ​Experience of developing and implementing strategic business growth and improvement plans in a client facing service.
  • ​Knowledge of construction and built environment projects and services across all framework categories.
  • ​A working knowledge of Social Value requirements within the Public Sector and an understanding of how this is delivered
  • ​A working knowledge and understanding of UK procurement legislation.
  • ​A thorough understanding of the importance of Brand awareness and appropriate messaging to position SCAPE as a Market leader in this sector
  • ​A basic understanding of sustainability in the workplace, and be committed to support the business with its carbon reduction strategy
