Showcasing the different types of career paths and future job opportunities that are available for Nottinghamshire's young people, this event is for Year 9 and 10 pupils from across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire to get a basic understanding and elementary insight into some of the most interesting trades within the construction industry.

Construction careers account for more than half of the entire workforce of the UK and are available for everyone.

Aimed at showcasing the construction industry and encouraging young people to consider a career in the built environment, the event will offer a range of exciting and interactive activities throughout the day.

Aiding in the understanding of, and sparking interest into considering a future careers within the built environment, workshop activities include:

  • Brick laying
  • Surveying
  • Drone working
  • Plumbing
  • Plant training
  • Joinery
  • And more,

The vast diversity of career paths within the construction industry can provide continual personal and financial development for everyone involved. Every business owner and multi-millionaire within the construction industry started with a basic understanding at some point in their early life.
