Developing sustainable communities
Our legacy programmes
Our Community Legacy Programmes are a collaboration between us and our framework delivery partners. We aim to maximise the long-lasting impact of SCAPE projects for clients, their local communities and future generations.
About our Community Legacy Programmes
We're proud that our civil engineering, construction and consultancy framework partners - ASHE, Balfour Beatty, Carter, Clegg, Conamar, G F Tomlinson, GRAHAM, Jeakins Weir, Kier, Lindum, Mace, McLaughlin & Harvey, Morgan Sindall, Perfect Circle, SISK, Stepnell and Willmott Dixon - have signed our Community Legacy Mission Statement for their respective frameworks. This Statement pledges their joint commitment to deliver environmental and social sustainability initiatives on every SCAPE project throughout the UK.
Whilst there is a variation between the statements for our National framework and Regional framework, the Community Legacy Mission Statements are aligned closely with our Social Value Policy. You can read them below.
Our actions
Working collaboratively, we will listen to the needs of our local communities.
All our framework delivery partners are committed to delivering social value and working collaboratively through the Community Legacy Programme to deliver additional social value, focusing on employment skills, training, the environment, and sustainability.
By signing the Statement, our partners have committed to supporting local supply chains by identifying opportunities to work with local SMEs, micro-businesses and Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprises. This will increase local employment and training opportunities and, promoting STEM and the myriad of built environment careers in schools to inspire the next generation of industry experts and plug the skills gap. This is alongside driving environmental sustainability as part of all projects delivered through our public sector procurement.
We’re proud to collaborate with industry and listen to your needs and your communities to create a genuine opportunity to improve the health, the environment, wealth and wellbeing of our local communities in which we live and work. We believe in our Community Legacy Mission Statement and it highlights our shared approach and responsibility, of mutual trust, respect, collaboration and expertise.
