2020 - Stronger together as one team

2020 has been a year unlike any other, with a constant flow of new challenges, changes and concerns.

However, TeamSCAPE has always worked as one team, and I'm delighted to share with you some of the strong social value and performance outcomes we've achieved together, despite the backdrop we found ourselves working against.

Truly amazing.

Thank you to our entire team - our passionate staff, our dedicated partners and their strong, local supply chains. Thank you for all of your hard work and resilience this year.

As we all know, social value is about more than metrics. It's about the quality of the outcomes we're delivering for clients and their communities. That's why, I'm also pleased to share with you the graph below which shows our Considerate Constructors Score. Although the stats only run to October 2020, this demonstrates that SCAPE projects (shown below in green) consistently received a very good score.

It also shows that sites continued to perform well throughout the first lockdown, maintaining an average score which was above our minimum requirement and above industry standard.

As we look to 2021, the public sector will no doubt face more and varied challenges. However, there are some very exciting developments on the horizon for us at SCAPE, and the wider industry as innovation continues to progress in leaps and bounds.

And if 2020's taught us anything, it's that together, we can handle, adapt to and find new and better ways of delivering through any challenges that come our way.
