Procured through the SCAPE Construction Framework, Gateway One is a £32m five‑storey digital tech hub located adjacent to Doncaster Rail Station. The project has now reached the stage where the overall structure has been completed, with the building constructed to its highest point.

SCAPE joined Willmott Dixon, Doncaster City Council and other project partners at a topping out ceremony. The topping out milestone signals substantial progress in the programme, where attendees signed a commemorative plaque and steel beam which was then placed into the structure at roof level. The final bolt, sprayed gold to mark its significance, was also placed into the structure. Delegates that signed the beam included Doncaster Mayor Ros Jones, MP for Doncaster Central Sally Jameson and Mark Taylor, CEO of Automated Analytics, the flagship anchor tenants for the building.

This commemorative beam will be built into the structure and will mark the beginning of the next phase of development of the building, which is set to open in early 2027.
