Since the start of our partnership in 2015, we have added over £400 million of social value to local communities and economies through projects procured via the SCAPE Civil Engineering frameworks.
As a trusted partner, we integrate the expertise of our customers, designers, and specialist supply chain partners at the earliest stage of a project’s development. Working together, we create a common understanding of a project and its critical success criteria, applying our expertise to make the best decisions for each project, helping to develop and validate business cases, secure funding, and meet planning and feasibility requirements.
As your project develops, our expert engineers and supply chain partners identify, mitigate, and manage project risks, working closely with designers and architects to make sure the solution can be constructed safely and efficiently and that it meets the needs of your community.

Building New Futures
Since Balfour Beatty launched its refreshed sustainability strategy – Building New Futures – in 2020 the Group has made significant advances in key areas, including achieving almost 50% of its 2030 £3 billion social value target.
They have also prioritised pushing technological boundaries given one of the main barriers to progress is the gap in the technology that is available to help drive down carbon emissions.
Across the UK, US and Hong Kong, each of their businesses are developing bespoke sustainability action plans to ensure they address specific local challenges and priorities and leave a positive legacy in the communities they serve.

Improving transport facilities through railway platform construction at Warrington West Train Station
